Job Overview:
Join our team as a Technical Illustrator where you will play a key role in supporting product design documentation through the use of AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar applications. You'll have the opportunity to create captivating 2D and 3D illustrations, renderings, and animations for both Technical Communications and various internal/external stakeholders.
Highlights of Your Role:
- Create impressive 2D and 3D images for Installation, Service, and Supplemental instructions.
- Develop renderings for Architectural Detail Manuals, Parts Manuals, Product Catalogs, and Owner's Manuals.
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Adobe Illustrator to produce high-quality 2D drawings/illustrations.
- Assist managers in driving department initiatives and projects.
- Independently handle smaller scale projects with minimal supervision.
- Contribute valuable insights for work process improvements.
You're a Good Fit if You Have:
- An Associate degree in drafting and design or a related field preferred.
- Proven expertise in AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Formal knowledge in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Adobe products such as Illustrator, Acrobat, and Premiere Pro.
- Understanding of window and door terminology, along with construction and production processes.
- Experience with Marvin systems and software (OMS, Autodesk Vault, MODL, and ECN) is advantageous.
- A knack for quickly understanding complex technical concepts and conveying them through relevant images or 3D CAD models.
- Ability to leverage peer resources efficiently.
- A curiosity and eagerness to explore, learn, and share knowledge.
