Position Summary:

Saint Patrick School seeks an enthusiastic, faith-filled, and highly qualified Elementary Music Teacher to inspire a love of music in our students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education and possess a strong understanding of music pedagogy appropriate for elementary-aged children. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the school's Catholic identity and fosters musical literacy, appreciation, and performance skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive and age-appropriate music curriculum for all elementary grades (PreK-8th grade).
• Integrate Catholic faith and traditions into music instruction, including teaching sacred music and hymns.
• Teach foundational music concepts such as rhythm, melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics, and form.
• Introduce students to various musical genres, styles, and cultures.
• Prepare students for and direct school Masses, prayer services, and other liturgical celebrations by leading music.
• Participate in school faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
• Uphold the philosophy and mission of Catholic education and the values of [Name of School].
• Manage and maintain music classroom equipment and resources.

Qualifications:

• Committed to the mission of Catholic education.
• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience teaching elementary music, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
• Proficiency in playing piano or a keyboard instrument
