Salary: Pay for this position is determined by the 169-day Teacher Salary Schedule and based on education and experience. Salary Range $44,739-$75,161.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

  • Valid Colorado Teacher License, Music Endorsement, or be eligible to apply.
  • Bachelor Degree or higher.
  • Teachers of Record or Residency Teachers are eligible to apply.
  • Skilled in both general and instrumental music instructional strategies.
  • Familiarity with the State of Colorado Music Standards.
  • Familiarity with the curriculum Quavers preferred.
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment for elementary-aged children.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical.
  • Ability to read and write to comply with directions and instructions to complete tasks and establish priorities.
  • Possess skills to utilize basic technology as directed by the District to communicate and function effectively.
  • Integrity, trust, and work ethic are required to work with little supervision.
  • Implements appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect district data's confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Maintains good security practices with passwords and accounts to the various district systems and applications.
  • Reports actual or suspected breaches in the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of district data to appropriate district personnel.
  • Follows all board policies for acceptable use of district technology.
  • Model the District's Mission and Belief Statements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Teachers are held to high expectations for their performance to ensure the success of the individual and the District in serving students and the community. Teachers are held to the District’s Licensed Personnel Performance Evaluation System that consists of the State’s Quality Standards , elements, and performance indicators which point to fulfillment of the teaching responsibility. A teacher’s demonstrated effectiveness is based on the following standards:

Quality Standard I : Teachers demonstrate mastery of and pedagogical expertise in the content they teach.
Quality Standard II : Teachers establish a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for a diverse population of students.
Quality Standard III : Teachers plan and deliver effective instruction and create an environment that facilitates learning for their students.
Quality Standard IV : Teachers demonstrate professionalism through ethical conduct, reflection, and leadership.
