Position Overview
CUMULUS MEDIA | Dallas
is looking for passionate, highly motivated part-time
News Anchor/Reporter
to join our WBAP/KLIF team. Our ideal candidate should possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.
This position has the potential to transition into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Write and voice news stories including outside of the newsroom Write news stories for the station websites Post new stories on social media Handles emergency news/weather in show; on call for weather disasters/breaking news Individual will perform various news duties as needed, with the potential of working overnight or early morning hours, and some anchoring as necessary Qualifications:
Previous experience in radio news or website journalism Familiarity with digital audio editing software required Experience with long-form, breaking, non-scripted, weather coverage is vital Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Great team player What We Offer
