Position Summary
Indiana Tech offers both campus-based, online, and blended learning. The Library Technology Coordinator performs various support tasks with excellent customer service skills to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff at McMillen Library on the Fort Wayne campus. This is a part-time 24-28 hours per week, set schedule position with afternoon-evening shifts. The choice of working weeknights can be flexible.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administer and maintain library licensed products
Troubleshoot technical problems related to subscribed resources
Update information on library website as needed
Update and maintain Springshare applications (LibGuides, LibAnswers, LibChat, LibWizard, Reference Analytics)
Provide reference services to McMillen Library patrons, including chat coverage
Utilize an automated circulation system (FOLIO)
Provide basic technical support and training for all users in the areas of copiers/printers, computer workstations, and Wi-Fi
Supervise McMillen Library’s student workers during shifts
Assist with library programming and projects as assigned
Record patron interactions in the library’s reference analytics software
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
1+ year of working with technology in libraries is preferred
Ability to work as a team and independently
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
