What You’ll Do / Responsibilities

• Plan daily/weekly visual workload with leadership to align with sales goals, events, and promotions.
• Execute weekly visual assessments and partner with leaders to improve store visual execution and guest experience.
• Assess and guide the execution of visual standards across the total store to elevate visual presentations.
• Support the execution of the company Visual Merchandising strategy, visual standards, and ISM across relevant store areas.
• Validate the execution of all visual presentations in the store in partnership with leaders.
• Set overhead spotlights to highlight key merchandising presentations.
• With leadership guidance, address merchandising issues and adjust sets to create inspiring presentations.
• Share and teach visual standards, signing, and affordability strategies to the team to create inspiring visual moments that drive sales.
• Maintain organization of backroom space and stay current with signing tools and fixtures; set non-planogram ISM elements.
• Support team onboarding, continuous learning, and close knowledge gaps through training and hands-on experiences.
• Demonstrate inclusivity and ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely; comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct where possible.
• Create a welcoming guest experience by greeting guests and assisting with needs.
• All other duties as needed based on business needs.

Required foundational skills include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of visual merchandising experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Business acumen (margin, profitability) and creativity to inspire guests and drive sales
• Strong understanding of trend and style aligned with Target’s brand
• Ability to lead and influence store teams to follow processes supporting visual merchandising
• Effective communication and ability to use multiple devices and handheld scanners
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; manage workload and priorities
• Welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks within timeframes

Physical & Other Requirements

• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
• Operate Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) and pallet jack
• Interpret instructions, reports, and information
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders as needed
• Move merchandise safely, lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance required
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
