$35.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Immediate need for a talented Technical Writer. This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in State College, PA (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $35 - $40/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical documents including: Product specifications
• Verification and validation plans and reports
• User manuals and guides
• Assembly and manufacturing process procedures
• Revise legacy documents to align with current standards and migrate them into the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system, ensuring full traceability.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, and end users to gather and synthesize technical information.
• Ensure documentation adheres to company quality standards, formatting guidelines, and compliance frameworks.
• Support ECR/ECO processes through documentation updates, releases, and version control within the PLM system.
• Participate in documentation reviews to assess accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
• Coordinate translation efforts with internal and external partners to support multilingual documentation needs.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills: Technical Writing, Adobe Acrobat, MyWorkshop PLM, PLM Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in technical writing, documentation, or a related field.
• Experience in regulated industries (preferably medical device or healthcare) with knowledge of documentation compliance and quality systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, user-friendly language.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with document control and PLM systems (e.g., MyWorkshop) is a strong plus.
