Overview
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week). We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Nashville. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with strong cloud, automation, and CI/CD expertise, who thrives in collaborative environments and can drive reliable, scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions following best practices and security standards.
- Collaborate within a DevOps team to deliver infrastructure and application projects on schedule.
- Implement DevOps toolsets (Chef, Terraform, Jira, Slack, Vault, Python, Cortex) across multiple environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, resiliency, and security.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise policies while maintaining high availability and scalability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities, resolve incidents, and improve change management.
- Provide clear documentation, reporting, and communication to senior management and technical teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years delivering IT infrastructure and cloud projects in enterprise settings.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP (enterprise-level usage required).
- Strong background in Kubernetes stacks (EKS, GKE, Helm, Prometheus, Istio, Grafana).
- Proficiency with version control and release management (GitHub, SVN, Bitbucket).
- Expertise in DevOps methodologies and toolsets (Chef, Terraform Enterprise, Jira, Confluence, Git, Vault).
- Strong knowledge of serverless technologies (Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS, BigQuery, Cloud Functions).
- Scripting expertise: Python, PowerShell, Bash, Golang, AWS CLI, GCP CLI.
- Solid understanding of cloud design principles: High Availability, Elastic Load Balancing, Virtual Networking, Security (IAM, Least Privilege), and Scalability.
- Proficiency with both Linux and Windows stacks (Ubuntu, Windows Server, Nginx, Apache, MySQL, MS SQL, .NET).
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: MCSE, AWS, GCP, and UNIX certifications.
