Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking a Music and Band teacher at Orchard Place Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a one year leave of absence position. This position includes teaching general music to K-5 students as well as band to students at several campuses.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. 2.Current valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate Music endorsement. 3. ELL/ESL Endorsement is preferred. 4. Experience as an elementary teacher is preferred.

District Information

District 62 has approximately 4,500 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school.

Compensation Information

  • This position is part of the Des Plaines Education Association and salaries are part of the collective bargaining agreement. This position includes paid sick and personal time. Selection Procedure

All applications will be reviewed and qualified applicants will be recommended for further interview consideration by the building Principal. After interviews are completed, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources will make a recommendation to the Board of Education via the Superintendent.
