Key Responsibilities: Create, iterate, and manage CAD designs for large-scale systems. Oversee the generation, verification, distribution, and updates of drawings for parts and assemblies. Administer CAD Bill of Materials through the product lifecycle management system. Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers (mechanical, thermal, electrical, structural, etc.) to conceptualize and develop system ideas. Engage with suppliers for the CAD detailing of sourced components. Assist procurement in identifying and reviewing manufacturing sources. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of CAD experience in complex mechanical/electromechanical assemblies. 1+ years of experience in optimizing mechanical designs with complex interactions. 1+ years of interfacing with various engineering disciplines. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in 3D CAD systems, particularly Siemens NX (4+ years). Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Forming, Machining, Finishing, etc.). Understanding of materials, adhesives, and finishes relevant to harsh environments. Experience in optimizing design features for cost-effectiveness. Hands-on experience with manufacturers and production processes. Ability to develop fabrication drawings for various manufacturing methods. Experience in CAD database management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Familiarity with change control processes through ERP/MRP systems. Hands-on support in prototyping, assembly, and testing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
