Emergency Telecommunications Dispatchers . As a

911 dispatcher , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community by coordinating emergency responses and providing vital support to public safety personnel. Why Join Us? Competitive Salary:

Key Responsibilities

Emergency Response Coordination:

Transmit requests for service to the appropriate location and deploy public safety personnel and equipment. Communication:

Announce call letters, respond to complaints calmly, and keep dispatched personnel informed of all relevant facts. Technical Proficiency:

Operate various public safety communications equipment, including radios, telephone systems, computer systems, and more. Knowledge:

Acquire a thorough understanding of the community's layout to maximize dispatch accuracy and speed. Monitoring:

Utilize CAD systems, monitor fire and police digitizer systems, CCTV, and NCIC/CJIS computer systems. Support:

Assist other personnel in operations duties and perform any other tasks assigned by the Chief of Police or Commanding Officer.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED. Skills:

Ability to handle multiple incidents simultaneously in a stressful environment. Superior keyboard, computer, and communication skills. Experience:

Preferred but not required. Availability:

Must be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime. Assessment:

Candidates for the Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher position must successfully pass a computer-based pre-employment assessment in order to be considered for employment. Background Check:
