We are seeking a volunteer who is a skilled and passionate Writer to join our non-profit Veterans Foundation team. As a Writer, you will play a crucial role in composing Public Relations articles and magazine pieces to promote the mission and activities of our Foundation. Your words will help raise awareness, drive engagement, and inspire support for the veterans we serve.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Produce compelling and engaging written content for various platforms, including but not limited to press releases, website articles, newsletters, and magazine features.

Research: Conduct thorough research on topics related to veterans' issues, military history, and our Foundation's initiatives to ensure accuracy and relevance in all written materials.

Story Development: Collaborate with team members to identify and develop stories that highlight the impact of our programs, events, and partnerships on veterans and their families.

Editing and Proofreading: Review and revise content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.

Community Engagement: Engage with our community of supporters, veterans, and stakeholders through written communications, fostering a sense of connection and unity.

Requirements:

US Citizenship: Provide evidence of US citizenship, as this position may involve working with sensitive information related to veterans and military affairs.

Exceptional Writing Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in crafting clear, compelling, and grammatically correct written content for diverse audiences and platforms.

Research Abilities: Display strong research skills with the ability to gather and synthesize information from various sources to develop accurate and informative articles.

Passion for Veterans' Issues: Exhibit a genuine interest in and understanding of the challenges faced by veterans and a commitment to supporting their well-being and empowerment.

Collaborative Spirit: Work effectively as part of a team, contributing ideas, sharing feedback, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
