Camp Ikigai Animal Sanctuary is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to providing a safe haven for rescued animals. Nestled on a scenic 72-acre ranch in Yokuts Valley, California, our sanctuary fosters personal growth, sustainable living practices, and an inclusive environment. We’re passionate about using technology to improve lives while preserving the natural beauty around us.

As a Public Relations Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in amplifying our mission and connecting with our community. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to raise awareness, engage donors, and support our animal rescue initiatives.

• Craft Engaging Content: Create impactful articles, press releases, and social media posts that highlight our work, events, and success stories.
• Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, influencers, and bloggers.
• Event Promotion: Assist in promoting our events, fundraisers, and adoption drives.
• Community Engagement: Engage with our supporters, volunteers, and partners through newsletters, emails, and other communication channels.
• Brand Advocacy: Help shape our brand narrative and ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
• Collaborate: Work closely with our web development team to optimize content for our websites.

• Passion for animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems (WordPress preferred).
• Creativity, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

Our primary location is at 40580 Ruth Hill Road, Yokuts Valley, CA 93675 (approximately 40 minutes from Fresno State). We also have virtual opportunities for remote volunteers.
