Full Academic Year Contract Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) specifically for students with visual impairments. Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the unique needs of visually impaired students. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive educational programming. Provide training and resources on visual impairment awareness to school personnel. Conduct assessments related to visual impairment to monitor student progress. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid teaching certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI). Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments. Knowledge of instructional strategies and assistive technology for the visually impaired. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with educators, families, and students.
