Recruitment and Communications Manager - Online Programs

The Division of Continuing Education (CE) at the University of Colorado Boulder is accepting applications for a Recruitment and Communications Manager for Online Programs. This role supports online professional graduate programs, with emphasis on the Outdoor Recreation Economy (ORE) and Teacher Leadership (TL) programs. The incumbent will develop, implement, and scale a comprehensive recruiting strategy for these programs. The ideal candidate will be a creative, innovative self-starter who can establish a recruiting pipeline and grow enrollment. The role requires the ability to create thoughtful, strategic recruitment campaigns, manage projects, and build collaborative relationships to provide prospective online students with excellent enrollment support. Responsibilities

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Recruitment Strategy and Operations: Develop and implement the strategy for online student recruitment and admissions to grow online programs. Provide a high-touch approach to prospective student engagement by applying proven recruitment and admissions practices in a timely and consistent manner. Identify new opportunities to create a replenishable and diverse applicant pool and scale enrollment in ORE/MATL and other online programs. Provide proactive and personalized engagement with prospective and newly admitted students, including nurturing leads, responding to inquiries, providing program information, assisting with the application and enrollment processes, connecting to academic and student support services, and facilitating timely interventions to resolve concerns or barriers. Conduct one-on-one meetings with prospective students to provide high levels of personalized service. Manage ORE and TL email inboxes with timely, customized responses to inquiries. Plan and manage recruitment and networking events (virtual and in-person), including open houses, webinars, information sessions, and participation in trade shows and conferences. Plan and manage the application process for ORE, MATL, and other online programs. Identify and manage relationships with external entities for recruitment, including other universities and private, public, and non-profit organizations. Manage online student recruitment efforts to help create a program and culture that appeals to a diverse pool of applicants. Track key performance metrics and evaluate the success of recruitment and admissions efforts over time, considering the modern and flexible nature of online programs. Engagement and Communications

Liaise with ORE staff and CE Marketing to develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for prospective online students. Guide and mentor Graduate Student Assistants on special projects as needed, in collaboration with the ORE Program Manager. Deploy and manage prospective student communications, including email nurturing campaigns. Implement external communication campaigns for online student audiences in collaboration with CE Marketing and other CE and University entities. Assist with development of press kit materials for media outlets (press releases, images, pitch letters, case studies, feature articles, trend stories). Maintain Outdoor Recreation industry partnerships to benefit prospective students. Manage ORE social media channels in collaboration with Graduate Student Assistants. Liaise with CE Marketing to develop and track print and electronic marketing materials for the ORE website, social media, and digital campaigns. Lead engagement with other CU units (International Admissions, Veteran and Military Affairs, Center for Inclusion and Social Change, Athletics, etc.). Assist with identifying potential industry, community, and non-profit partners to contribute to scholarships, experiential learning opportunities, career mentorship, and a replenishable and diverse talent pipeline for the Outdoor Recreation industry. Internal Administration And Other Responsibilities

Identify challenges and opportunities for program growth and improvement, including policy recommendations and innovative strategies to grow enrollment and increase diversity. Manage and track recruitment budget for ORE, MATL, and other online programs. Represent CE, ORE, and MATL at meetings; serve on CE or University committees; assist with special events and projects. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Participate in staff development activities and professional organizations. What You Should Know

This is a full-time position, MondayFriday, 8:00am5:00pm. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 23 days in the office each week. What We Can Offer

The starting annual salary range for this position is $61,200 - $68,850. Onboarding assistance may be available in accordance with Continuing Education policy. Benefits

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university, and 3 years of professional experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute). What You Will Need

Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a collaborative environment. Experience working with online students and programs. Knowledge of the inquiry, decision-making, and commitment cycle of nontraditional students. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, including mastery of online presentation skills. Exceptional organizational, planning, analytical, and technical skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to build and foster relationships with prospective students and the staff who support them. Sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural, political, and geographical differences; ability to work with diverse backgrounds. What We Would Like You To Have

Masters Degree in a related field such as Student Affairs, Outdoor Recreation Economy, Teacher Leadership, or similar. Knowledge of K-12 Teacher Education and related pathways. Experience in a customer-facing role. Experience working with a CRM system. Experience in fast-paced environments serving diverse clients/students.
