Overview
Position Title: Scientific Content Developer
Work Location: Remote Assignment
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Work Arrangement: Remote
Responsibilities
- Seeking a Scientific Content Developer to create internal playbooks documenting scientific methodologies for R&D programs to accelerate medicine delivery. The role is part of the Quantitative Medicine and Genomics team.
- Collaborate with scientists across biology, computational biology, clinical development, safety, regulatory, CMC, drug development, and manufacturing. Broad scientific exposure is preferred over narrow specialization.
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD preferred, Master\'s with strong relevant experience considered.
- 5+ years in technical, medical, or scientific communications within pharma/biotech.
- Ability to synthesize complex scientific concepts into clear documentation for scientific audiences.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Consulting skills, stakeholder management, relationship building, and interviewing SMEs.
- Project management and organizational ability to manage complex workstreams.
- Broad understanding of biopharma R&D; immunology knowledge a plus.
- Experience with digital collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence, wiki platforms).
- Ability to create visuals/diagrams (PowerPoint-level).
- Creative, self-motivated, independent, and effective collaborator.
Purpose
- Develop an internal playbook from scratch to capture and document methodologies across R&D for long-term use by scientific teams.
Background & Context
- This role is essential for codifying institutional knowledge and scaling innovative approaches to accelerate delivery of new medicines to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs across R&D (wet lab biology, computational biology, clinical development, safety).
- Conduct structured interviews with scientists to document processes and decision-making frameworks.
- Synthesize information from presentations, research docs, and literature into clear content.
- Author concise, actionable content as a practical guide for scientific teams.
- Organize playbook into a user-friendly format.
- (Preferred) Design and build playbook on SharePoint/Confluence for easy updates.
- Manage project timeline to deliver chapters and incorporate feedback.
