Overview

Due to a promotion, the Morse Institute Library is accepting applications for a Library Assistant-Children's position. The Morse Institute Library has strong community support in the town of Natick and seeks to provide excellent, friendly customer service to children and their caregivers, with basic cataloging and processing support for children’s materials. Evening and weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent, friendly customer service to children and their caregivers. Assist with basic cataloging and processing of children’s materials.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a strong customer service background with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be detail oriented, and able to work well in a team environment. Previous library experience, bilingual abilities, and knowledge of Sierra ILS software are preferred but not required.

Salary Notes

While a non-benefited position, the successful candidate is still eligible for pro-rated sick, vacation, and personal leave.
