Position Overview We are seeking a Senior UX Designer who can push the boundaries of user experience. In this role, you will combine strategic thinking, hands-on design, and leadership to create experiences that delight users and drive business growth. You will be responsible for high-impact projects, guiding design decisions, and influencing product direction while mentoring teammates and shaping the design culture at Goosehead.
You will tackle our most complex design challenges and help shape the future of our product experiences. This is a senior individual contributor role, not a management position, where you will lead by example through your vision, craft, and influence. You will collaborate with executives, product leaders, and engineering partners to define strategy while remaining hands-on with design execution.
As a human-centric, strategic thinker, you are detail-oriented, naturally curious, and well-versed in both desktop and mobile customer-facing experiences.
Position Duties and Responsibilities Represent and champion the client and agent perspective in the design, creation, and delivery of desktop and mobile digital product initiatives
Develop wireframes/prototypes and optimize flows for consumer and agent-centric experiences, driving engagement and lead generation
Help prevent erosion of the digital product experience through regular design quality reviews
Contribute to, enhance, and maintain UI component libraries for digital products
Collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with Marketing, Product, Operations, Sales, IT, and Development teams to create, build, and optimize client and agent experiences with our digital products
Contribute to a consistent visual and interaction design language across products and channels
Work with UI designers to implement industry-leading designs
Keep up to date on competitor products and industry trends
Plan and participate in user testing sessions, turning insights into actionable design improvements
Leverage analytics to identify pain points, inefficiencies, traffic loss, and other enhancement opportunities as you design future state digital product experiences
Lead or participate in design workshops to align teams, spark ideas, and refine solutions. Present and explain design decisions to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
Ensure designs and websites meet federal accessibility/ADA standards (Americans with Disabilities Act).
Essential Job Functions Expert knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, and or similar design and prototyping tools
Portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end design work and problem-solving
Deep understanding of interaction design, responsive layouts, and accessibility
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
A growth mindset and desire to keep learning and expanding your skills
Experienced and comfortable with agile methodology
Consumer-first and insights-driven strategic thinking
Examples or portfolio of driving improvements and optimization of UX, across consumer experiences online & mobile platforms
Ability to create working UI prototypes using Figma, similar applications
Expert in effective user experiences. Understands the art and science of user and consumer experience
Demonstrated experience in participating in or planning & facilitating moderated and unmoderated usability testing
The ability to deeply understand business processes and offer tangible design solutions Passionate customer advocate
Hands-on, self-starter mindset that can do the work
Skilled in driving multiple workstreams and prioritizing efforts to achieve objectives with minimal direction
Very results-oriented and continuous improvement driven
Expert communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide, influence, and convince cross-functional partners across the organization
High integrity and honest communication
Ability to build relationships and collaborate across the organization, serving as a resource to others, inclusive and respectful of others’ expertise and perspectives
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present and simplify complex topics for senior management
Strong attention to detail and organization
Entrepreneurial spirit but knows how to share success with team and partners
Experience and Education Bachelor’s Degree in User Experience, Digital Design, or related/equivalent field
Experience: 8+ years in software product development, digital design, UX/UI, or a related field.
Design Skills: 8+ years designing wireframes and mockups aligned with UX best practices.
