Overview The Golden State Valkyries are looking for a Design Director to work within the organizations Studio team. In this role, you will lead the creative process, gain valuable experience and play an integral role in developing first class designs for the organization. We need a self-starter to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. This position reports to the Executive Producer (GSV). Key Responsibilities Design and produce a wide variety of cross-platform creative deliverables for various internal and external clients Establish and manage all design systems across the GSV brand Manage a team of multiple graphic designers Work with Marketing on full scale campaigns and evolve visual brand identity Develop multiple design projects at any given time and execute according to established timelines Ability to prioritize and track projects across the design team through creative process/project management tools Provide assistance with print production (i.e., set up files, file archiving, etc.) Other duties as assigned Required Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree, preferably in Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience Minimum 7 years of visual design experience at an ad agency, design firm, or within an internal creative team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) Familiarity with both print and web design executions Ability to understand the needs of requestors, follow direction, and respond positively to feedback Photography and illustration skills a plus Ability to share an online creative portfolio Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills Highly organized and detailed with the ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment Compensation $128,000 - 136,000 + Bonus Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits for employees and dependents Employer 401K match Vacation and a generous paid time off plan for pregnancy and parental leaves Golden State is an equal opportunity employer.
