Job Description
The Studio Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pottery painting studio, ensuring smooth execution of all activities, outstanding customer service, and alignment with Color Me Mine's standards, processes, procedures and culture. This role oversees staff management, customer engagement, inventory, events, and operational compliance, with a focus on maximizing sales and profitability while minimizing costs. The Studio Manager represents the Color Me Mine experience with pride and professionalism.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and coach studio staff.
• Manage studio operations in accordance with company standards, manuals, and procedures.
• Create and manage employee schedules and rosters
• Lead and support large events, parties, and community or corporate promotions.
• Engage customers and drive studio events through social media and local marketing initiatives.
• Utilizes Marketing tools to enhance studio presence and drives studio events
• Maintain adequate inventory levels, oversee SKU pricing, and ensure accurate counts of furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Conduct quarterly safety audits and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Oversee in-studio marketing displays and programs as directed by the Studio Owner
• Serve as the communication bridge between team members, customers, and ownership.
• Collaborate with the Studio Owner on equipment maintenance (kilns, repairs, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast paced and high volume environment with emphasis on strong customer service skills

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or degree in business, hospitality, or art-related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or creative/art-related environments.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communicator with ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent customer service skills with ability to manage high-volume environments.
• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong work ethic.
• Proficient with POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic productivity software.
• Experience with social media and local marketing is a plus.
• Comfortable with event coordination and upselling studio services.
• Creativity or interest in art is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, squat, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be avallable to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by studio operations.

This position has supervisory responsibilities and oversees Studio Team Members.
