Position : Business Development & Marketing Coordinator

FLSA : Nonexempt

Reports To : Business Development & Marketing Manager

Salary : $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 Annually

Hours : Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. 35-hour work week; Occasional overtime

Hybrid : Tuesday-Thursday in Office/Monday & Friday Remote

Summary : The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in advancing the firm's strategic growth initiatives, supporting marketing campaigns, and coordinating business development projects. Working closely with the Business Development & Marketing Manager, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with attorneys, practice group leaders, and administrative teams across the firm.

The Coordinator will be responsible for creating compelling marketing materials, managing website and social media updates, coordinating events, assisting with client proposals and RFP responses, and maintaining the firm's CRM and other marketing tools. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional services environment.

This is a hybrid position (Tuesday-Thursday in-office, Monday & Friday remote) based in our downtown location, with occasional overtime for events or deadlines. We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000-$80,000, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Content & Brand Management • Write, edit, and proofread marketing and business development materials, including practice descriptions, attorney bios, press releases, and website content. • Manage updates to the firm's website, intranet, and social media channels. • Maintain a firmwide social media calendar and provide guidance to attorneys on building engagement on their own social media channels. • Edit images and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite. • Ensure consistent use of firm branding across materials and departments.

Event Planning & Execution • Coordinate internal and external firm events, sponsorships, and webinars. • Draft and distribute invitations using Vuture (e-marketing software). • Manage event RSVPs, mailing lists, and logistics from start to finish. • Source and order firm-branded materials and custom items for events.

Proposals, Pitches & Client Development • Draft and edit proposals, RFP responses, and pitch presentations. • Prepare customized team sheets and meeting materials for client opportunities. • Collaborate with attorneys and practice groups to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Public Relations & Communications • Maintain the firm's CRM system, mailing lists, and contact records. • Draft and issue client alerts, press releases, and news items. • Identify opportunities to promote client and firm successes.

Surveys, Rankings & Directories • Prepare submissions for legal rankings, directories, and awards. • Coordinate with attorneys to gather necessary information. • Maintain current firm and attorney profiles across platforms.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Legal Studies, or related field preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of marketing or business development experience in a law firm, professional services, or agency environment preferred.

Technical Proficiency • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and LinkedIn. • Experience with CRM databases, e-marketing tools (Vuture preferred), and webinar platforms (On24, Zoom). • Adobe Creative Suite skills, especially InDesign and Photoshop, strongly preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: • Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment at an assigned station • Limited physical effort required and very limited exposure to physical risk • Must be able to comply with all safety requirements in our workplace
