Manager of Unified Communications
to lead the strategic vision, implementation, and management of the firm's unified communications infrastructure. This leadership role will focus on enhancing communication capabilities across platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint), and
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) . Key Responsibilities:
Unified Communications Management:
Lead administration, configuration, and optimization of Microsoft Teams, including chat, video conferencing, telephony, and PSTN integration. Manage Microsoft 365 email systems and OneDrive for Business, ensuring availability, security, and compliance. Oversee and support the transition from Cisco CUCM to Microsoft Teams Calling.
Migration & Cloud Transformation:
Drive migration of collaboration tools from on-premise to cloud-based platforms. Manage transition from Cisco telephony to Microsoft Teams Calling with minimal disruption. Ensure seamless system integration during migration.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of 48 IT professionals, focusing on performance, skill development, and strategic alignment.
Strategic Planning & Innovation:
Develop a future-oriented communications roadmap aligned with IT and business goals. Stay updated on emerging technologies to improve infrastructure.
Operational Excellence:
Maintain high availability, performance, and security of communication systems. Monitor compliance with policies and regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with IT leadership and other departments to align communication tools with business needs. Serve as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert.
End-User Support & Training:
Oversee onboarding and training for communication platforms. Support helpdesk functions and resolve user issues promptly.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Candidates must demonstrate a stable, permanent work history (no temp or short-term contracts). Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. Required Experience & Skills:
At least 7 years of IT experience, focusing on unified communications and collaboration tools. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 administration, and CUCM. Experience with cloud migrations, especially from CUCM to Teams Calling. Hands-on with Microsoft 365 apps like SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Admin Center, and Exchange Online. Understanding of telephony infrastructure and call routing in enterprise networks. Experience managing technical teams. Preferred experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Certifications:
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate Cisco CCNP Collaboration Seniority level
