Founded by former professional basketball player Anthony Tucker, Hoop Habits offers elite individual, small group, and team basketball training. Hoop Habits is seeking a part-time Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team. You will manage and implement our social media strategy to increase our online presence and strengthen our marketing efforts. This is a part-time contractor role based in Edina, MN with a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities
Manage, evolve, and implement our social media marketing strategy Create and curate engaging content for our social media channels for Hoop Habits Training, and Hoop Habits Elite accounts Post content to social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) and actively engage with the community Maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels Build and manage our social media editorial calendar Monitor, track, and analyze social media metrics to optimize performance Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies Collaborate with internal team and external marketing partners to ensure brand consistency Respond to comments and questions in a timely manner Create and execute a LinkedIn strategy for the Founder Publish articles to the Hoop Habits blog and update the website as needed Update Google Business listing as needed Support the team at in-person marketing events and pop-ups for the Foundation Report on the performance of social media and all other marketing activities Qualifications
2+ years experience in social media, content creation, or marketing (preferably in sports, fitness, or wellness industries) Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) Self-starter with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Creative thinking and a strong visual eye for aesthetic content Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong copywriting and content creation skills Knowledge of social media metrics and analytics tools Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) required Basic understanding of WordPress and web traffic metrics Basketball knowledge, play, or related sports experience preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field Ability to work in the facility 2 days per week Seniority level
