Position Overview : We are collaborating with a leading organization in the home lending and financial services sector, recognized for its contributions to supporting the U.S. housing market through innovative financial solutions. This company plays a key role in advancing liquidity, stability, and affordability in the housing industry. Our client is seeking a UX / UI Designer to join their Financial Engineering team, contributing to a major strategic initiative focused on enhancing an enterprise-level financial application. This role will involve hands-on collaboration with financial engineers, developers, and stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centric solutions. This is a 6-month W2 contract role, based entirely on-site in McLean, VA. Please review the "Logistics" at the bottom of the posting before applying. No C2C. Responsibilities Design a user-friendly, responsive, and visually appealing interface for an enterprise-level financial application. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality UI design using Figma. Enhance the existing design system to improve user experience. Work closely with UI developers to ensure seamless implementation of UX / UI design. Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to improve design decisions. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to understand user needs. Stay up-to-date with the latest UX / UI trends, best practices, and technologies.
Technical Skills
3+ experience in UX / UI design in a professional environment. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools. Practical knowledge and understanding of HTML, CSS, and SASS. Practical knowledge and understanding of modern UI libraries such as Material-UI A strong portfolio showcasing UX / UI work on enterprise applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, Associate degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar, but not required. A strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in enterprise application design.
Logistics
Job Title : UX / UI Designer Hours : 40 hours per week On-site : 5 days per week Location : McLean, VA Contract : W2 Contract Duration : 7 / 29 / 2025 - 1 / 28 / 2026 (6-month contract with potential for extension) Work Authorization : Must be able to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship.
