Marketing Assistant
This position is a part-time hourly role at the School of Graduate Studies (SGS). It works closely with the Marketer I and Social Media Specialist to achieve team marketing objectives. This role involves a mix of tasks, including content creation, market research, event day work, and general marketing support. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Support - 40%: Support full-time marketers with newsletters, social media, content development, or other assignments as needed. Assist with graduate school social media accounts to build its presence across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) by regularly posting content. Assist with online branding reputation by responding to comments and engaging with other social media accounts. Assist in website improvement initiatives through UX research, mockup design, and user-testing. Track and organize social media metrics and track key performance indicators. Content Creation - 25%: Assist in creating high quality video and photo content for paid and unpaid campaigns across social media channels, webpages, and newsletters, to promote graduate school objectives. Events and Workshops - 25%: Capture quality photos and videos of graduate students at events and workshops. Help set up, manage, and clean up SGS social and training events. Development and Misc. Projects - 10%: Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Comfortable being on camera and conducting interviews. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of social media best practices. Attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: General marketing experience. Pursuing a degree in a relevant field. Event planning experience.
