Mechanical Designer 

Contract to Hire Opportunity

• Support senior mechanical engineers in the design of new motor drive products to meet product specification and cost requirements

• Create designs and implement changes in SolidWorks as directed and create individual part drawings and assembly drawings in accordance with company standards.

• Create bills of materials and engineering change orders using Agile (Product Lifecycle Management tool) to fully document production-ready designs

• Conduct performance, design verification and similar tests and author test reports to document results and conclusions

Qualifications:

       • An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred 

• Experience designing electro-mechanical products using Solidworks or similar tools. Experience in lieu of a formal degree may be acceptable.
•  Proficiency with laboratory equipment, 3D printers and other tools and test equipment used to create, assemble and modify prototypes.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks design tools
