Location: Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $16.04 - 17.04 per hourOur Client is looking for a creative and meticulous individual to join their team as a Content & Editorial Curator. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining editorial features across various content channels, including news, sports, finance, lifestyle, entertainment, and TV, for web, mobile, and TV platforms. While there are opportunities for long-form writing, this role focuses on the curation and creation of compelling content packages.The ideal candidate will be a master at taking existing content from feeds and partners and transforming it into the most appealing packages. This involves monitoring media sources, posting breaking news, and scheduling features to maximize viewership. You will also manage the workflow with content partners, ensuring a seamless process for obtaining and presenting their content.This role requires a leader with impeccable news judgment and excellent communication skills who can collaborate effectively with other editors and teams. You will be responsible for daily content scheduling and copyediting, ensuring a continuous flow of programming, including during off-hours and holidays. A key part of the role is to contribute to long-term strategy and new feature discussions, using metrics data to understand and serve our broad audience.Responsibilities:Oversee editorial feature creation, manage editorial partner relationships, and program related content.Five or more years of editorial experience.Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on detail, spelling, grammar, and clarity.Ability to write creative and engaging copy.Keen interest in current events.A creative thinker who is comfortable in group discussions and brainstorming.Willingness to work some off-hours and holiday shifts.Qualifications:Experience with content management systems and analytic tools.Basic Photoshop editing skills.Bachelor's degree (Journalism, English, or Communications preferred) or equivalent experience.
