Communications Coordinator with 2+ years of experience needed for a full-time, fully onsite position with our client in Western Massachusetts. This is a unique position that will require the Communications Coordinator to work atypical hours, potentially Tuesday through Saturday starting from 12pm-8pm or something similar. Will be required to write accurate and engaging content for news stories, social media, print materials, and other publications. Salary is 55-70K depending on experience and qualifications.

 

The Communications Coordinator is a detail-oriented and motivated communicator who creates and manages content across the school’s website, social media, and print materials. This role involves writing, editing, and organizing accurate, engaging content, coordinating e-newsletters, maintaining the website, and capturing and editing photos and videos of school events. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, creative storytelling, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging content for news stories, social media, print materials, and e-newsletters tailored to key audiences.
  • Maintain and update the school website to ensure alignment with marketing goals and up-to-date information.
  • Capture photos and videos of school events and edit them for various platforms.
  • Collaborate with departments to create audience-focused content and assist in developing digital and print marketing collateral that reflects the school’s brand.
  • Follow a content calendar to deliver timely, strategic communications.
  • Proofread communications for accuracy, consistency, and brand representation.
  • Organize and manage an archive of photos and videos for easy reference.
  • Be available for occasional non-standard hours to cover events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in social media content creation and management.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.) and photo/video editing proficiency.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Creative mindset and collaborative attitude.
  • Experience in education is a plus but not required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
