Overview

This is a volunteer role for the Golden Gate International Film Festival (GGIFF) for 2025. There is no pay offered; however, sponsors may provide gift cards to volunteers as a token of appreciation. This is not a guaranteed commitment.

Role description: Volunteers support festival operations and engagement, including film viewing and rating (100% virtual), and may participate in in-person activities for three days at the AMC theatre during the festival (logistics, Q&A sessions, video & photography, and Awards night). They may also assist with coordinating online streaming, Award Ceremony management, social media posts, and attendee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Watch and rate films (virtual)
• Support event logistics on-site during the festival (AMC) as needed
• Assist with Q&A sessions, video & photography coverage during the festival
• Coordinate online streaming and manage Award Ceremony activities
• Engage with festival attendees
• Help manage social media posts and communications with participants

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational and event planning skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (preferred)
• Familiarity with social media management and online streaming platforms (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for film and media
• Previous volunteer or event experience is a plus
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
