We’re on the hunt for a creative social media associate to lead our rapidly expanding organic social channels and drive our creative vision to the next level. This role is pivotal to amplifying our brand presence, fostering meaningful celebrity, creator & brand partnerships, and creating impactful content that resonates with our audience and amplifies our campaign strategy. Based in our New York City office (1–2 days/week), you’ll lead the charge in planning, creating, and executing on innovative social media strategies that align with UrbanStems’ brand values and marketing campaigns. Your expertise in social media trends and culture-forward marketing will help shape dynamic campaigns, grow our community, and drive measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Your primary job is to take campaign concepts and translate them into content that align with UrbanStems’ brand values and marketing objectives. You’ll work with growth and brand to do this. You will manage all content creation, posting, and engagement on IG+Broadcast, TIkTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest.
  • Content, content, content. You are very comfortable coming up with ideas and executing on them yourself. You must be able to use a camera, shoot quality content on your phone, edit video, and use photoshop and Canva.
  • Build a detailed, forward-thinking content calendar that integrates campaigns, launches, and brand storytelling.
  • Identify and jump on real-time opportunities to create culturally relevant content that keeps the brand ahead of trends and still aligns with our overall tone and objectives. This will require you to make the content to turn this around on time.
  • Work with growth and brand to craft tactics to achieve KPIs of driving engagement, measurable traffic, sales, and community growth. Your biggest goal is to make content that gets into the DMs which will grow awareness, sales, and our community.
  • Decode platform engagement and master the ever-evolving art and science of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn, leveraging data to crack algorithms and drive engagement, conversation, and commerce.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    • Use Dash Hudson and Google Analytics to track performance. We will have standard reporting for you to use. You'll need to be comfortable reading the data.
    • With manager support, you'll use this data to find new opportunities for growth and optimization. You should be curious and have a test and learn mentality.
  • Creative Oversight:
    • Act as the primary channel owner, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
    • Work closely with a paid media team and content strategy to ensure organic and paid content are synced. To the consumer it's all UrbanStems.
  • Trend Innovation:
    • Stay ahead of platform innovations and cultural shifts, proactively integrating them into the brand's strategy.
    • Act as a tastemaker, identifying and capitalizaing on emerging trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of social media marketing at a consumer goods company. You need to be self directed in much of your work and drive cross functional collaboration to get things done. You must have experience creating your own assets across video, graphics and photography.
  • Creative Vision: proven ability to spot trends early and brief in creative needs to lead that trend. 80% of content creation will be done by our creative team but we expect you to be able to generate 20% either photos, videos or help with editing.
  • Organized and energized: you need to have an eye for detail, the ability to keep it all organized and communicate well with internal external partners.
  • Cultural Fluency: A passion for internet culture and an intuitive understanding of what drives engagement and being viewed as an aspirational brand.
  • Collaboration: A team player who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. Your role is highly cross functional and you will be in the office or at events frequently.
  • Passion: A love for storytelling, creativity, and flowers, with a drive to create campaigns that inspire connection.Startup Spirit: Adaptable, proactive, and eager to roll up your sleeves. You will be posting content, briefing it, engaging in comments/DMs with consumers and other brands.
