Overview

WWMT/ARC West Michigan/wwmt.com is looking for a creative full-time News Photographer based in the Lansing area to cover statewide issues and the state legislative session for the three Sinclair stations in Michigan. The photographer will work with a statewide political reporter to develop compelling stories and must have a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Cover statewide issues and the state legislative session for Sinclair stations in Michigan.
• Collaborate with a statewide political reporter to develop and publish compelling stories.
• Shoot news photography and contribute to storytelling across multiple platforms; edit using desktop and laptop editing systems; stream video when needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment.
• Experience with LiveU is a plus.
• Must be flexible with schedule.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis.
