Overview

Thinkpath Engineering Services (TES) is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team in Miamisburg, OH.

Job duties will involve working directly with a client that manufactures special custom, performance trucks/vehicles for a major automotive manufacturer.

Responsibilities

• Document the processes for installing the custom equipment for lifted trucks and author instruction manuals for future use. Utilize videos, interviews of the processes, and on-site visits to witness and document the disassembly of standard exterior, interior, engine and suspension parts and the assembly and installation of upgraded, custom parts to complete the custom vehicle. Use this data to create instruction and installation manuals.

Qualifications

• Technical writing experience, specifically authoring work instructions, training materials, and warranty documents from scratch.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to comprehend mechanical systems.
• Automotive knowledge, experience or interest is a major plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• MS Office and similar technical writing tools.
