Overview AI UX/UI Engineer Cupertino, California, United States Sales and Business Development Summary and description: Apple’s US Decision Intelligence (DI) team is looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about crafting, implementing, and operating AI solutions that have a direct and measurable impact on Apple Sales and its customers. We’re seeking a US AI UX/UI engineer to own the end-to-end user experience strategy and design execution for AI-powered internal tools, including chat agents, insight delivery, and context-aware workflows. This role will augment the existing AI roadmap as well as innovate new frontier tech projects, crafting AI experiences that reduce time to insights and catalyze decision making. AI is a team sport, and you will lead and influence teams on translating business problems into GenAI solutions. Responsibilities Architect the core GenAI UX/UI design to interact with Chatbot, Home Page, Summarization, iOS app, and other GenAI features. Drive design interoperability with existing systems. Partner closely with data science, engineering, and sales ops to embed design-aware intelligence in decision-making tools. Lead technical design components in CSS, embedding safety mechanisms (e.g., autonomy sliders, grounding checks, model monitoring). Collaborate closely with business teams to incorporate AI into their weekly cadences. Own the creation and management of wireframes, interactive prototypes, and comprehensive user flows to guide product development. Collaborate with product managers to translate complex requirements into intuitive design solutions. Partner closely with business users to collect and incorporate user insights and feedback into the product. Champion user-centered design methodologies and advocate for best practices across the organization. Effectively communicate and present UX strategies, concepts, and research insights to stakeholders and executive leadership. Balance user needs with business goals and technical requirements. Partner with engineering to maintain design fidelity during development. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years in UX/UI development, with 3+ in data, enterprise, or AI product environments. Eagerness and ability to learn new skills and solve dynamic problems in an encouraging and expansive environment. Ability to lead development of AI experiences from start to finish. Expert in JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and CSS libraries (such as Tailwind, Bootstrap) for responsive, scalable designs. Experience developing applications with React or Vue, leveraging state management (Redux, Zustand) for seamless user experiences. Comfort with ambiguity. Ability to architect a full orchestrator and business context layer for sales. Strong portfolio demonstrating LLM/AI interactions, system design, and experimentation. Deep understanding of Sketch or Figma, design systems, and design token management. Familiarity with telemetry and user feedback loops for continuous improvement. Experience working with data science teams. Knowledge of project management and productivity tools such as Wrike. Strong time management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams. Able to balance competing priorities, long-term projects, and ad hoc requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, constantly evolving business environment. B.S Degree in Computer Science or similar engineering field. Preferred Qualifications Experience articulating and translating business questions into AI solutions. Experience designing interfaces for GenAI tools, AI agents, or NLP systems. Understanding of prompt design, fallback UX, and agent transparency models. Familiarity with enterprise UX constraints and scalable frameworks (e.g., Material, Fluent). Prior experience in sales tools or internal platform design. Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, hands-on expertise, and problem solving skills. A deep understanding of the Apple design aesthetic and principles. Experience creating VisionOS and iOS apps is a plus. Advanced Degree in Computer Science or similar engineering field. Pay and Benefits Base pay is within a range determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100. Apple employees may participate in stock programs and receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and education-related reimbursement.
