Akkodis is seeking a Technical Writer for a Contract job with a client in Cupertino, CA. Ideally looking for applicants with more than three years of experience in technical writing, especially documenting complex applications.

Rate Range: $53.73/hour to $55.97/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Writer job responsibilities include:

  • Create task-oriented user documentation, systems architectures, API documentation, and UX writing.
  • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and peers on the documentation team.
  • Quickly understand and document complex software and related tools.
  • Plan and manage documentation projects with shifting requirements and goals.
  • Edit the work of other writers and contribute to a consistent documentation style.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • More than 3 years of technical writing experience or a degree in Technical Communication.
  • Experience with Markdown and GitHub.
  • Familiarity with macOS and standard macOS software.
  • Strong ability to write structured, detailed specifications and incorporate feedback.

Pay Details: $53.73 to $55.97 per hour
