Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
We are seeking a Steampunk Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will develop, test, document, and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using declarative or programmatic development resources (e.g., triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components). You will execute test plans to ensure quality delivery with unit tests, follow coding standards, and participate in code reviews to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed. Responsibilities Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce (SFDC) platform based on industry best practices and business needs Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in the SFDC application Provide break/fix support and issue resolution Collaborate with technical resources and stakeholders on status, technical issues, and creative solutions Perform Salesforce administration tasks (accounts/profiles, field definitions, layouts, reports, dashboards) alongside development Support Salesforce configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, and automated approvals Balance multiple projects/priorities using established project management practices to deliver enterprise solutions Monitor Salesforce usage for compliance and maintain data security Interface with business analysts and technical staff to deliver complete work products Implement AppExchange platforms and research integration issues with team members Research and prototype new Salesforce.com applications and stay current on Force.com technologies Maintain and troubleshoot applications; build client trust and relationships Participate in team meetings and document best practices and procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of work experience 5+ years of experience with Salesforce development Functional knowledge of Salesforce data structures and leveraging the tool for complex processes and reporting Proven experience with Visualforce, APEX, Force.com APIs, and Web Services Eligible to obtain and maintain government security clearance Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio) Proficiency in AMPscript and SSJS for dynamic content and personalization Knowledge of data integration between Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM, including SQL, Data Extensions, and API integration Experience with journey orchestration, segmentation, and campaign performance optimization Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification; Salesforce Developer certifications Preferred Skills Business-minded with strong technical Salesforce background Ability to manage multiple tasks with aggressive timelines Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and analysis Initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies Salesforce Developer certification is preferred About Steampunk Steampunk considers factors such as location, requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience when determining salary. The projected compensation range is $130,000 to $190,000. This range represents a typical annual salary; other components of Steampunk’s total compensation may apply.
