Position Description

ACEG is seeking a skilled and motivated Communications Manager to lead our internal and external communication efforts and effectively coordinate and convey our message internally and to various stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, opinion leaders, and the general public. Position Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage ACEG's communication efforts, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand identity across various platforms and initiatives. Written communications Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to advance ACEG's mission. Write and edit compelling, accurate, and persuasive communications materials that effectively convey ACEG's message, including drafting content for the ACEG website, earned media, social media, and email marketing. Manage strategic communications consulting firm. Review and edit technical reports and papers, and oversee the promotion of reports when they are issued.

Work with reporters Expand ACEG’s media relations capacity by cultivating and enhancing relationships with target media outlets and reporters. Develop earned media materials, build media lists, and pitch ACEG insights and experts to reporters. Leverage news-making moments to increase awareness and interest in ACEG's work among target audiences. Coalition management Coordinate messaging and public outreach with partner organizations to amplify key issues and ACEG's mission. Coordinate meetings and events, both locally and remotely, to bring stakeholders together and identify stakeholder needs and next steps in ACEG’s work. Develop ACEG Review and edit biweekly newsletter for ACEG supporters. Assist in development of board materials and otherwise foster communications with ACEG staff and supporters. Support the Executive Director in recruitment of new supporters and maintaining strong relationships with existing supporters. Represent ACEG at external meetings. Key Qualifications

4-6 years of experience in communications, with a focus on energy policy, for the media, a government agency, company, or trade association. Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to produce high-quality content for various communication channels. Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with grace under pressure. Proficient in scheduling and coordinating meetings both locally and remotely. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Experience securing media coverage and maintaining relationships with energy, environmental, and policy reporters is preferred, at national and regional levels. Excellent judgment and ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience, including policymakers, industry influencers, stakeholders, and the general public. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Passion for ACEG's mission to expand, integrate, and modernize the North American high-capacity grid. Compensation and Benefits

ACEG offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. ACEG provides an excellent benefits package including fully paid health insurance for the employee, employer contributions to medical and transportation FSA plans, an employer match on 401(k) contributions, up to 5% of salary, LTD, STD, Life and AD&D insurance, 4 weeks of vacation, 12 paid holidays, and the office closes between December 26 and January 1 each year.
