Job Purpose Strategically lead and manage Cipla’s North American initiatives encompassing New Product Launches (NPL), Data Analytics, Respiratory portfolio, and In-Line Portfolio management. Responsible for comprehensive strategic management and execution, advanced analytics, accurate forecasting, portfolio lifecycle management, and operational excellence to achieve commercial success and sustainable growth.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Accountability Cluster 1: New Product Launch Management
Manage pre-commercial activities for New Product Launches in the Retail market
Facilitate 12-15 new product launches annually, ensuring launch execution per plan in collaboration with Legal, regulatory, planning and supply chain teams
Build SKU-based forecasts, prioritize launches, and communicate volume requirements to the manufacturing procurement teams for readiness in API and finished goods for Day 1/181 and competitive entry scenarios
Develop the market access and pricing strategy
Monitor product margins prior to launch and advise procurement on API price negotiations
Collaborate with sales, pricing and supply chain to achieve target sales for newly launched products
Provide NPL compliance post-launch
Provide a monthly business forecast (LBE)
Monitor the supply plan, customer orders, customer allocation, new business opportunities and LBE tracking
Accountability Cluster 2: Research & Analytics
Conduct market research (primary/secondary) to identify gaps or opportunities in therapy/product/device
Create & update monthly dashboards for all key respiratory products and report changes
Collaborate with sales to collect market usage, competitor intelligence & pricing
Track market changes (FDA approvals, price changes, new lines, competitor activity, etc.) and report to the forum
Monitor competitor activity by attending quarterly results meetings
Prepare business cases for in-licensing opportunities; evaluate financial viability and go/no-go decisions
Support due diligence for product/company acquisitions identified by BD team
Accountability Cluster 3: Respiratory New Product Management
Lead development and launch of omni-channel and digital marketing strategies & campaigns (Prescriber/HCP/Patient/Payer)
Collaborate on patient-centric device strategy for launch, including messaging, packaging, and access strategies
Work with agency partners to execute tactical plans on time with minimal oversight
Manage promotional material approval processes
Accountability Cluster 4: In-line Product Management
Monthly/weekly market tracking
Monitor supply plan, orders, allocations, opportunities and LBE tracking
Develop competitive intelligence and equip sales with positioning and promotional tools
Manage pricing for new and existing products to achieve market share and profitability
Collaborate with national accounts and supply chain on customer programs to ensure compliance
Address short-dated stock and overstocks in planning horizons
Accountability Cluster 5: Non-Respiratory / Specialty Product Management
Support the team on non-respiratory/specialty products with complex marketing strategies
Accountability Cluster 6: Forecasting
Create and update forecast models from research & analytics
Track and document forecast changes with quarterly dashboards
Collaborate with supply chain to share updated forecasts for launch planning
Update forecast models with third-party data for pricing and supply assumptions
Create new forecast shells for recently filed products and planned fillings
Accountability Cluster 7: Data Analytics & Dashboarding
Weekly IQVIA updates via PowerBI dashboards
Daily LBE dashboard updates
Market intel tracking (usage/pricing)
Weekly chargeback data dashboard updates
NPL pipeline forecasting
Contribution to budgeting and strategic planning

Education And Experience, Skills & Competencies Educational & Experience
BA/BS required; MBA or PhD preferred
Experience launching generic products in the Retail space
Experience managing respiratory product portfolio (Asthma/COPD/Allergy) preferred
7+ years marketing & sales experience preferred
Experience managing an Advertising Agency
Experience managing a patient/reimbursement HUB preferred
Experience with EMR/EHR platforms preferred
Skills & Competencies
