Overview
Have a strong background in marketing, communications and social media? Are you also passionate about education? If so, how would you like to be the National Marketing and Social Media Director for a multi-state, non-profit scholarship program? Education First is seeking a dedicated volunteer to continue its marketing and social media efforts as its program expands into new cities. Education First provides college scholarships to graduating high-school students in underserved communities. Working professionals make up Education First’s volunteer base, each with the opportunity to serve as a board member at a regional, national or officer level. Responsibilities
Serving as an active member of the board Driving strategic marketing program planning and execution Developing and implementing targeted social media campaigns through various channels Heading external program communications with potential donors, scholars and volunteers Crafting effective messaging points to communicate appropriately with target audiences Managing volunteers dedicated to marketing/social media efforts Qualifications
Self-motivated with a passion for the cause Graduated from college or currently pursuing a degree in Marketing Familiar with Microsoft Office products Time Commitment
The time commitment varies between 0 and 5 hours per week and averages around 2. The position is designed so it can be held by those with other commitments. How to Volunteer
