Overview

The Community Engagement & Digital Marketing Specialist cultivates meaningful connections with NLEN’s stakeholders, increases program visibility, and drives community participation through digital strategy, content creation, and analytics. This role supports program recruitment and lead generation, cultivates social media and storytelling initiatives, develops digital campaigns, and ensures data-driven insights inform engagement and donor outreach, all in accordance with NLEN’s brand and digital assets. The Specialist also supports site tours, giving program participants, donors, sponsors, and other stakeholders an immersive view of NLEN’s programs, facilities, and impact. Base pay range

$62,000.00/yr - $68,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Secure a constant flow of program leads, conduct pre-screen assessments, and ensure program applications and intake procedures are completed. Work in coordination with DCEO-funded Energy Transition Navigators to recruit eligible participants. Strengthen community connection through campaigns spotlighting employment programs, neighborhood revitalization, and local impact initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally to elevate events, success stories, milestones, and site tours. Foster meaningful dialogue and participation across platforms, bridging in-person engagement with online storytelling to deepen trust and visibility. Create vibrant digital and neighborhood communities by sharing NLEN’s story across platforms and amplifying the voices of participants, staff, and partners in accordance with brand and digital assets. Cultivate content planning calendars (annual, monthly, weekly) with thematic focus for NLEN, Sweet Beginnings, and beelové café. Create mission-aligned graphics, reels, posts, captions, and digital assets that showcase program impact, community transformation, and organizational milestones, in accordance with brand and digital assets. Capture and curate photos, video, and audio content from programs, events, and site tours for storytelling and operational tracking. Maintain content libraries and shared digital assets to streamline collaboration and deployment. Track and report on social media, email, and website engagement metrics to inform content strategy. Provide quarterly analysis of KPIs, including reach, engagement, conversions, and program participation metrics. Recommend content and campaign adjustments based on performance insights to support recruitment and engagement goals. Cultivate email marketing, donor, and volunteer engagement workflows using tools like Salesforce, Mailchimp, Sprout Social, and Canva Pro. Develop automated sequences for program follow-up, volunteer retention, donor cultivation, and impact storytelling. Sync engagement data across platforms to support multi-channel communications for program recruitment, donor engagement, and site tour follow-ups. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

2–4 years of community engagement, digital marketing, and communications experience. Experience in program recruitment, intake processes, participant engagement, and leading site tours preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, Canva, Mailchimp, and CRM systems. Strong writing, storytelling, design, and content creation skills. Data-driven and analytical mindset.
