Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our Roslindale office in Boston. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of professional experience in architectural practice and be capable of managing the design and production of construction documents including construction administration on various project types. Affordable housing and public facility projects, including work with public agencies such as the MBTA, DCAMM, and MSBA is preferred but not required. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to project teams on a broad range of project types and scales; in a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
Contribute to a wide range of projects through all phases: feasibility, design development, construction documentation, and administration
Collaborate closely with principals, colleagues, and consultants
Manage and work with project teams on diverse project types
Coordinate with other staff and consultants to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
Work with municipal clients and community members
Write reports and make public presentations
Project Manage, draft details / construction document sets/models in Revit
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Required Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture (BArch or MArch)
Licensed Architect with 5+ years of professional technical experience in all phases of design and construction administration processes
3+ years of Revit experience with proficiency in managing models, and coordination with multiple consultants in all phases of a project’s development
Proficiency with Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Experience with construction documentation and administration phase
Highly organized and detail-oriented team player
Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to translate design concepts into reality
Tangible experience in the review of drawings and specifications at the end of Design Development phase and 95% Construction Documentation Phase
Participation in feasibility studies and all aspects of the design process for a variety of projects
Experience with public sector procurement processes is preferred but not required
