Support the development of analytically defensible wargames, tabletop exercises (TTX), and seminar events for Department of Defense clients.
Work as a team to ensure that wargame adjudication methodologies are sufficiently flexible to allow dynamic player action while accurately representing real-world military capabilities. Conduct research and analysis into warfighting and national security topics in support of analytic models and wargames. Ensure accurate representation of real-world military concepts of operations and doctrinal practices. Provide insight into game design problem sets and independently design discrete game systems that facilitate accurate game adjudication. This position is located in McLean, VA. Basic Qualifications
1+ years of experience working on professional wargames in an academic or professional environment Experience working in a client-facing environment Experience with complex commercial tabletop games and game mechanics Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of U.S. defense capabilities, joint warfighting capabilities, and tactics Top Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree in an International Affairs, National Security Policy, Applied Statistics, or Game Design field Clearance
