Graphic Designer
to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 6-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and onsite in Boston, MA. Graphic Designer Responsibilities
Help drive the Center of Excellence for Brand Experience and Brand Environments focused on translating Brand Strategy to Environments and Experiences Develop brand experience and retail guidelines to include materials, color, space design, furniture, fixture, and design direction as well as how brand stories, photography, and tone of voice come to life in environments and experiences Assist with retail concepts and product launches Support a design process of clear ideation focusing on exploration of color, materiality, texture, spacing, proportion, scale and use of the environment Ensure project goals and priorities align with Global Brand (Brand Experience) and business strategies Constantly seek new and innovative ways to tell stories through graphics, styling, lighting, sculpture, photography, video, animation and more Develop presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts to all levels of leadership and partners Collaborate across cross-functional project teams and the Global Brand Org Foster innovative thinking, collaboration, and teamwork Understand design processes to ensure results, timelines and budgets are met Lead projects and work independently to complete individual projects These projects include, but are not limited to, the development of print, packaging, 3-D retail displays, environmental design, event signage, branding systems, imagery, video, brand experiences/environments, collateral materials, and internal presentations. Effectively uses professional software to deliver final designs including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Keynote, SketchUp, Rhino, etc. Work with functional teams from initial concept development to final production and distribution Manage individual projects beginning with internal briefing, managing timelines, scheduling work-back schedules, budget management, supplier coordination, reviewing specs, recommending production alternatives, and maintaining quality production standards Manage both individual projects as well as groups of projects to stay within stated budgets Work with Ops partners to estimate all aspects of project development Offer productional alternatives to provide the best product within the defined budget Act as the liaison between internal and external cross-functional management teams Communicate project details, design requirements, scheduling needs, and material specifications Graphic Designer Qualifications
5+ Years of progressive, technically sophisticated design experience in experiential design, brand design or architectural design and a demonstrated ability to apply these skills in ways that elevate brand excellence Bachelors/master’s degree in communication design, graphic design, architecture, industrial design, environmental design, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience A passion for the Artist, Athlete, Sport, and Culture Demonstrated strength in operating in a design studio and delivering progressively complex projects of varying scales, budgets, and timelines Adept at applying and performing design skills including concepting, ideation, drawing/sketching, rendering, typography, color theory, texture, spatial design in scale, visual presentation development and space planning layouts Strong knowledge of current trends in color, graphic design, art, photography, architecture and experience design — and their application to the sport, footwear and apparel industry Strong knowledge of production design, fabrication, materiality, and emerging manufacturing trends Strategic thinking and adept at connecting the dots across multiple approaches and outputs Strong attention to detail Proven ability to manage ambiguity and create compelling solutions when the way forward is not always clear Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to present new concepts and designs to small and large groups, including presenting to internal creative leadership and external partners Proven ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with a highly developed ability to cultivate relationships in an open, positive and inclusive environment A strong portfolio of relevant work is required Demonstrated expertise using computer design applications including SketchUp, Figma, Keynote, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to design and render environments. Experience with motion graphics and video-editing is a plus Seniority level
