Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design/Architecture. 5+ years of experience in an architecture or interiors firm, ideally with some hospitality or restaurant experience (working in a restaurant counts too!). Knowledge of building codes, ADA, permitting processes, restaurant-specific MEP and food service equipment, and health department requirements (preferred but not required). Experience coordinating MEP consultants and managing project budgets and timelines (preferred but not required). Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape, Adobe Creative Suite, and standard drawing production software (AutoCAD and Revit). Excellent communication and client-facing skills. A balanced mindset: design-driven, technically proficient, and organized. Your Responsibilities
Design & Client Engagement: Lead design development from early concepts through final documentation; create presentations, mood boards, SketchUp/Enscape models, and material palettes; facilitate client meetings and translate brand goals into design direction; specify materials, finishes, lighting, and colors in line with project needs. Project Management: Manage project schedules, deliverables, and internal task tracking; track budgets and timelines; adjust scope as needed; coordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, food service, etc.); serve as primary client contact for day-to-day communication. Technical & Construction: Produce drawing sets for pricing, permitting, and construction; ensure code compliance, ADA requirements, and consultant coordination; oversee construction administration: respond to RFIs, attend site meetings, and review submittals.
