Overview
The Microsoft Compass Program is a customer engagement R&D program within Microsoft's Experiences & Devices division. It includes more than 100 strategic enterprise customers worldwide and serves as a platform for testing Copilot in our AIX00. We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher who specializes in program management and operations to join the Compass team. You will help manage and engage Compass customers, ensure readiness of feature teams for our flagship previews, and coordinate communications and setup for demos and previews with product groups within Experiences and Devices. Responsibilities: Drive a mutually beneficial product development relationship with Compass customers, including ensuring program obligations are met and managing disengagement when necessary. Expand Compass activities within customers and create programs that involve more non-IT end users in research. Act as a customer advocate, ensuring customer needs are understood, socialized, and acted upon by product teams; provide value-added assistance as required. Maintain relationship health through recurrent, predictable interactions. Ensure account team visibility into Compass activities and present Compass as One Microsoft when issues arise. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Doctorate in related fields (e.g., HCI, Human Factors, CS, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, UX Design, Behavioral/Social Sciences) and 1+ year UX Research experience; or Master’s with 3+ years UX Research experience; or Bachelor's with 4+ years UX Research experience or equivalent. 4+ years of program or product management experience, including direct release process experience. 4+ years of experience working directly with customers, including managing relationships and engagements. Preferred Qualifications: Strong presentation skills and executive presence. Excellent project management abilities, and experience with software release management and agile execution. Familiarity with product-making research methods and processes; ability to design appropriate research engagements with UR peers. Experience managing complex customer relationships and thriving in fast-paced, demanding environments. UX Research IC4 – typical base pay range in the U.S. is USD 119,800 – 234,700 per year, with location-based adjustments (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area / New York City).
