The Director of Sales & Marketing will oversee commercial strategies for the hotel to improve asset performance by connecting strategy and business processes. Hilton’s Commercial Services organization drives sales, revenue, marketing, catering, events management, call centers, and analytics functions — the core of Hilton’s "commercial engine" for profitable growth. What will I be doing? The primary responsibilities are to design, develop, and deploy business strategies that are creative, dynamic, and impactful for the Americas and to lead the Hotel Sales and Marketing process. Deliverables include moving business analytics and processes toward a predictive and prescriptive approach to drive performance, including the development and communication of commercial strategies and standards with cadence and analysis of revenue performance against goals. In this role, you will facilitate the delivery of the Americas Commercial Operating Model and should possess strong leadership, communication, and networking skills. Produce your hotel’s Annual Multi-Year Commercial Strategy Plan, in partnership with on-property leaders and regional support Connect hotel performance needs with solutions designed by the Hilton enterprise for each key segment served Direct accountability for setting the strategy and delivering the hotel’s revenues including group rooms, banquets, catering, business transient and leisure transient Work with Commercial Leadership to ensure Business Review Guidelines and Group Pricing & Rate Quotation Strategies maximize pricing components of sales and catering opportunities and achieve positive group market share Support hotel B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, public relations and communications activities; guide e-Commerce teams to ensure online hotel content is accurate and effective Collaborate with Commercial Leaders to establish optimal business mix, review and validate revenue forecasts, and develop strategies for different demand periods; review and approve retail and group pricing strategies Work with Executive Committee to maximize profits in line with GOP and EBITDA targets Develop and execute departmental expense budgets and forecasts Maintain real-time knowledge of competitor and market activity Execute the Sales and Catering annual SIP (Sales Incentive Program) Leadership Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly Sales & Marketing Optimization Process and translate outcomes into actionable strategies Contribute to annual Commercial Cadence communications on performance and drivers Maintain Hilton brand standards and corporate identity; utilize communication tools Recruitment and retention of all sales and marketing roles Lead, engage, and develop team members with ongoing performance development and career plans Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and provide feedback for dotted line reports in areas such as: Group Sales, Business Transient Sales, Leisure Sales, Catering Sales, Marketing Foster a culture aligned with Hilton’s DEI and ESG goals Ownership, Customer, and Stakeholder Relations Own performance and commercial activity reporting for the hotels; communicate status and response plans Present commercial strategies to key business partners and ownership groups in collaboration with AVPs, Regional Commercial Director, and General Managers Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, regional support, and brand teams Build relationships with CVB, community influencers, and 3rd party travel partners Maintain high engagement with customers across sales segments Support high-impact site visits and pre-convention meetings; support sales managers’ travel into feeder markets Qualifications To fulfill this role, the following minimum qualifications are required: Hotel Sales, Catering or Marketing Experience Leadership/management Experience Ability to travel Experience in hotel management or related industry Highly professional presentations and communication skills (oral and written) Proficiency with Microsoft Office Ability to perform critical analysis Desirable capabilities: Adaptive experience with business strategy, planning, and development Ability to speak multiple languages Multiple Brand experience Values and Attributes Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, Now Quality, Productivity, Customer Focus What will it be like to work for Hilton?
