Northrop Grumman Space SystemsLaunch and Missile Defense Systems provides an excellent opportunity for a Network Communications Network Monitoring Analyst to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, plays a crucial role in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. Position Overview
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a crucial operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to methodically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Furthermore, C2BMC is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities. The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO) and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC network systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment. Essential Functions
Provides first-level technical support to the warfighter and performs initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC network hardware and software Documents and reports all events and issues to the CWO and receives tasks and guidance from the CCC for all operations, testing, and real-world events Installs all network hardware and software as directed by local SMEs and creates and maintains user accounts as directed by the local ISSO Sound knowledge of Network concepts: LAN/WAN TCP/IP Network management and monitoring Strong understanding of management and monitoring tools and techniques for different network infrastructure components and services Knowledge of monitoring, network diagnosis, and network analysis tools Virtualization technologies like: VMWare vCenter vSphere Solid understanding and hands-on experience with remote access tools like SSH, RDP, FTP, SCP Strong understanding of OSPF, Cisco IOS, and JUNOS commands and troubleshooting Experience in Windows Server maintenance Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Performs other duties and assignments as required Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 2 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance, and eligibility to be cleared at SCI security clearance Applicants must have a current active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.), which is required to start This position requires rotating 24/7 shift work. The candidate will be assigned to a 12-hour shift, with the mission needs to be determined. Some rotation through off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will also be necessary Preferred Qualifications
A current, active in-scope DoD-issued TS/SCI security clearance at the time of application is highly preferred Knowledge and hands-on experience with network management tools Familiarity with encryption devices, especially TACLANEs Basic understanding of Linux/Unix server maintenance Experience coordinating with other DoD agencies and associated network operations organizations What We Can Offer You
