Assistant Event Planner (Entry-Level / Junior Level) Seeking a highly organized, energetic, and detail-oriented Assistant Event Planner to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the logistics and marketing communications (MarCom) efforts behind hundreds of trade shows and professional events each year. This is a flexible, early-career opportunity—ideal for: A dispensing optician interested in transitioning into marketing or events A college senior (preferably pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications) with availability of 32+ hours per week A junior to mid-level professional with a strong background in event coordination, marketing support, or administrative project management You’ll collaborate across departments, work on both the strategic and tactical sides of event execution and get hands-on experience in one of the most dynamic and niche spaces in the medical device industry. Located near Downtown Dallas. Pay Range is $50,000-$70,000 Responsibilities: Support the planning, logistics, and execution of 100+ trade shows and events annually Coordinate shipments, vendor communications, and event material inventory Assist with marketing content and collateral preparation alongside our MarCom team Maintain event calendars, task lists, and reporting documents Help design booth layouts and promotional materials Attend occasional events (approx. 5% travel), with additional compensation Support post-event reporting and performance metrics Provide administrative and cross-functional support as needed Qualifications: Exceptional organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities High energy, “can-do” attitude with a problem-solving mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment 1–3 years of experience in event planning, marketing coordination, or related roles Experience working in healthcare, med tech, or trade show environments All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age or veteran status.
