We are backed by world-class investors and are growing fast. Diversity is at the core of our hiring approach. Key Responsibilities Serve as production lead and creative director for AI human capture shoots, including casting, hair/makeup, wardrobe, camera direction, and lighting on set and with vendors. Define and iterate on capture protocols (poses, turntables, facial expressions, motion sequences) to satisfy researchers and customer requirements. Build and manage vendor partnerships and budgets for select professional shoots; develop standardized guides for freelance crews to reproduce results. Oversee post‑production, including reviewing and editing audio and video to fit Tavus needs. Provide creative asset direction and plan recording shoots with team members. Establish asset library and metadata tagging to support training and product usage. Oversee on-site hair, makeup, styling, performance capture rigs, and backup filming systems. Track metrics and retrospective insights to improve processes (shot adequacy, vendor reliability, time per sub‑shoot). Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional filmmaking/video production experience, including directing, casting, story-first or industrial shoots (e.g., commercial, documentary, branded content, virtual production). Demonstrated ability to coordinate lighting, hair/makeup, wardrobe, and styling for filming. Hands-on experience in footage editing. Strong visual sense with the ability to translate creative vision into clear direction and high-quality output. Ability to work independently and own end-to-end processes as a first specialized hire in this space. Experience managing vendors and part-time crew; excellent communication to maintain consistency. San Francisco-based or able to relocate; willing to travel regionally for shoots (~once/month). Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically in facial capture. Understanding of AI training pipelines and editorial demands for generative or performance models. Experience with multicultural casting and styling for diverse AI human templates.
