Job Title: 3D Production Artist
Location: Beaverton, OR (Hybrid - onsite and remote schedule)
Hourly Pay Rate: $26.67/hr W2
Contract Duration: ~12 months (40 hours per week)
Introduction
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled 3D Production Artist to support the creation and optimization of high-fidelity 3D assets. This role involves transforming raw 3D scan data into production-ready assets for use in real-time and archival environments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with 3D scanned data, Adobe Substance tools, and physically based rendering (PBR) workflows, combined with a strong artistic eye for realism and material quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience working with 3D scanned data and post-processing for production
- Proficient in Adobe Substance 3D Painter and related Substance tools
- Strong understanding of PBR material workflows and real-time rendering pipelines
- Proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Blender
- Experience with retopology, UV mapping, and normal baking
- Strong artistic eye with attention to detail for material surface qualities and realism
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Background in digital art, VFX, or 3D production
- Experience with photogrammetry pipelines and automated scan processing tools
- Familiarity with real-time rendering engines
- Knowledge of color calibration and photographic reference processing
- Passion for digital preservation and historical material accuracy
- Import and process raw 3D data for real-time and archival rendering environments
- Clean, optimize, and prepare geometry for production use
- Refine and retouch textures using Adobe Substance tools within a PBR workflow
- Ensure materials and assets are consistent, photorealistic, and optimized for target platforms (Web, AR, VR, archival)
- Collaborate with 3D scanning operators and archivists to align production standards
- Maintain organized file structures, naming conventions, and efficient asset management practices
