Netflix is one of the world’s leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries. We recently launched a new ad-supported tier to offer our members more choice in how they consume content. We’re looking for a highly ambitious, visionary, and experienced Senior Product Designer to help enable our global ad tech suite and to enable an emerging era of CTV advertising innovation, delivering a delightful Ads experience for Netflix members.

This will be a hybrid role, with a flexible work-from-home schedule. Onsite attendance will be required as needed by the business, up to weekly. This role is best suited for candidates located in California or the Pacific Time Zone, with occasional travel to Los Angeles, CA and Los Gatos, CA. We can consider exceptions for the right candidate to be based at Netflix’s New York City hub.

About Our Team: Our Ads Experience Design team designs the experience, technology, workflows, and capabilities that power Netflix’s advertising business and the next generation of Netflix experiences, such as Live entertainment. What You Will Do

  • Identify, research, design, and execute business-differentiating features for Netflix’s advertising suite.
  • Lead the design and execution of critical advertising platform functionality for global brands and Netflix operations teams.
  • Craft design briefs that provide business, design, and engineering clarity for critical initiatives.
  • Influence ads business strategy by developing domain expertise and aligning the ads platform experience with Netflix’s broader ecosystem.
  • Partner with the central Netflix design system team to extend patterns and components.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, writers, and business teams to develop and iterate on concepts and product execution.

What We’re Looking For

  • Domain familiarity with advertising technology best practices and Live streaming technology.
  • A passion for great design and a collaborative team culture.
  • 8+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent) in the B2B2C space, leading high-impact initiatives from concept to execution in technical business areas.
  • 4+ years as a Product Designer in advertising or ads-adjacent industries.
  • A versatile portfolio with deep interaction and problem-solving skills, including leadership solving complex business platforms.
  • Understanding of complex workflows that scale across diverse, global operations teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to excite stakeholders and articulate a vision.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail (e.g., writing documentation to support design decisions).

  • Ad tech domain expertise delivering advertising technology to a global audience.
  • Experience with complex internal systems, data platforms, and highly technical environments (e.g., API platforms).
  • Experience leading design strategy for a B2B2C advertising ecosystem.

Compensation and Benefits

Generally, compensation consists of an annual salary with no bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation is in salary versus stock options. The role range is $120,000 - $515,000.
